Josh and Veronica were fortunate to cross paths through a mutual friend at a high school play in November, 2015. Over the next several months, they saw each other in passing. But it wasn’t until the next summer that they made a connection. On July 9, 2016, they went on their first date at the Jefferson County Fair. Now, exactly six years to the date, their relationship is coming full circle to promise each other their forever together.
Being the gullible girl she is, Josh fooled Veronica into thinking his parents won a “date night” and generously gifted it to them. The date included dinner and ice skating, which she had been begging to go do! They went ice skating at the Edgewater hotel, which had a gorgeous view overlooking Lake Mendota. They stopped to take a picture where he knelt down and surprised her. His sister, Abby, was there in disguise to capture it all. It was then that she realized Josh set the whole day up himself! Nevertheless, it is a moment they both will never forget.
